The main artery in Williamsburg is Bedford, a street that is always lively, visited by all the 'beautiful people' and bourgeois bohemians (bobos) of New York. I am surprised by the contrasts in the area with its hip stores, stylish bars, record dealers, independent bookstores... while two blocs away, it's another world.

There are also several stands, set up on the sidewalks, each selling whatever they want: books, old clothes... I even saw a guy selling skis.
