All kinds of music can be found in Chicago. Here is where House music was born, in the early 1980's. According to legend, the name comes from the Warehouse, a club where Frankie Knuckles used to preside in. No way can I leave Chicago without a night out for some House.... Each period has its own music, and Kerouac and the Beats got drunk by bebop. For me, I'd see myself hunting for "it" by electronic music.
I dissect the flyers and come down to one of the clubs of N. Milwaukee. Good sound, cool people, but the evening is less 'underground' than I was expecting. It's because House has also had its golden age, and the time of wild 'raves' in parking lots are gone.
