El Chapultepec ! This is the spot in Denver for listening to jazz and blues, a jazz club of dreams. It's a small Mexican restaurant that is no fake, and, at the same time, it's a club well-known for its music. In an environment set up for jam sessions, the microphone passes from hand to hand, everyone doing his bit. The musicians go all-out. And a big black guy looking like a biker shakes a few hands, unleashes a blues ditty, gets back on his Harley, and slips away into the lights of the city....
Jack Kerouac, Neal Cassady, Allen Ginsberg, and all the others usually came here to listen to bebop and to drink late into the night. Without a doubt, this is the place for finding "it".
