The marathon of On the Road continues far into the night in one of Naropa's buildings. The readings started over twelve hours ago. And the jazz orchestra accompanies the flux of Kerouac's words with a tempo harmonizing ideally with the mood of the book's prose.
And now, approaching 1:00 AM, after more than a dozen hours of an unbroken relay of speakers, the last lines of the book are going to be pronounced with transfixing energy... In face of this beautiful and powerful tribute to the author of On the Road, I am overcome by emotions.
